What's included in the free plan?

What's the difference between Pro and Ultra?
Pro gives you the full intelligence layer with unlimited projects and 200 queries per day. Ultra adds the Altab Workspace — a complete development environment with Researcher and Verifier agents that research before coding and verify after. Ultra also includes LLM credits for agent operations.
How do queries work?
Every search, brain query, or tool call through the MCP server counts as one query. Your daily limit resets at midnight UTC. Most developers use 50-100 queries per day — Pro's 200/day limit covers comfortable daily use.
Can I use my existing AI coding tool?
Yes. The intelligence layer plugs into your existing AI coding tool via MCP. You keep using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or whatever you prefer — Altab adds codebase intelligence on top. No switching required.
What models power the intelligence layer?
The intelligence layer uses multiple search strategies combined with structural code analysis to give your AI agent deep codebase understanding. Convention and invariant detection use advanced AI for the highest quality pattern recognition.
What happens when I hit my query limit?
You'll see a message suggesting an upgrade. Your indexed projects and brain data persist — nothing is lost. You can continue the next day when limits reset, or upgrade for more queries.
Can I use my own Claude Code or Codex subscription?
Yes. Use your existing subscription alongside the Altab intelligence layer at no extra cost. The intelligence layer plugs into your existing tools via MCP. On Ultra and Max, you can also use the Altab Workspace — switch freely between runtimes or run them in parallel.
What models are available?
Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, and more — including open-source models. The intelligence layer is model-agnostic and works with any MCP-compatible tool. On the Workspace (Ultra+), every model is available on every plan, no restrictions.
What makes Altab different from other AI coding tools?
Structural codebase understanding. Most AI tools search your code like text — Altab maps what calls what, what depends on what, and what breaks when you change something. Purpose-built Researcher and Verifier agents give your coding agent deeper context and rigorous verification.
How do credits work?
Credits power the Altab Workspace agents (Researcher, Verifier, and agentic task execution) on Ultra and Max plans. Each plan includes a monthly credit bundle that resets each billing cycle. The intelligence layer (search, brain, conventions) is included in your subscription and does not consume credits.
